Lasers provide safe and effective treatment for a wide range of dental problems, and they provide several advantages over conventional techniques. Lasers allow for minimal or no bleeding during surgical procedures. Post operative pain and swelling are minimal, and the use of sutures is minimzed or eliminated. Computed Digital Radiography from Schick Technologies reduces your x-ray exposure up to 90%. Instead of using a film an electronic sensor is placed next to the teeth to be x-rayed. The sensor is much more sensitive to x-rays than conventional film. Therefore, the amount of radiation required can be reduced by up to 90%. Another advantage of Digital Radiography is reduction in the amount of time you spend in the dental chair. Because no films are processed, your x-ray image can be viewed on a computer screen within three seconds.

You will notice that every treatment room in Dr. Pippin's office has a computer in it. Computers in dentistry enable the dental team to instantly access and enter patient and insurance information. Computers enable the dental team to serve you more efficiently and reduce the amount of time you spend at the front desk checking out and scheduling appointments.
